If you were wondering, (well, i did mention in my previous post) Tiger Airways now flies to Hong Kong and only cost us S$273 each, inclusive of taxes. Phew~
BenBen and I crawled outta bed at 5+am in the morning and caught the 7.55am flight. We only slept for 4hours in the night! But of cuz we were too excited to feel tired. Heez...
We were so proud of ourselves cuz this time round we need not run after the plane. For once we were early!
Singapore is only a mere 3.5hours ride from HK, so its so much more tolerable den when we travelled to Taipei last year.
When we reached Hong Kong Airport, we bought the "3-Days Unlimited Octopus Card", which is equivalent to SGP's EZ Link card actually. With that Octopus Card, we got the bus shuttle for free, which took us straight to our hotel, Empire Hotel! Weeeeee!
So basically from HK Airport, you can catch the MTR (from airport is the special one cuz they have nice seats like those in the picture below) to Kowloon Station, and afterwhich we took the free shuttle bus to Empire Hotel! Travelling time around 45mins total.
Empire Hotel is located at 金沙嘴 and 8mins walk from the 金沙嘴 MTR (equivlent to SGP's MRT). S$140 per night only. Room is tiny weeny and very tiny weeny. We both missed Taipei's Rainbow Hotel.
We put our luggage in our hotel room and went out to look for our first authentic HK food!
Oh I am so sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the food after they were served. Haha, too hungry la... We only took pictures of the receipt! Muahahahahha!
S$1 = HKD5.51
After eating our fill, we stubbornly decided that we have to go to the well-known Outlet Mall at Tung Chung, even tho its out of the way and not part of our itinerary!
Me fascinated with HK's MTR.
They have aluminium seats and its so slippery my ass kept sliding off the bloody seat.
We gotta change MTR at Central to change to another train to Tung Chung Station. Their MRT is lot more sophisticated then SGP's or Taipei's one, but of cuz can't beat Japan's la.
Finally, we reached!!! The Outlet Mall is situated just next to the MTR, and connected so we do not even have to exit the MTRStation.
BenBen looked like he had my mini black tube on his head. But he told me its HIP... errrrr.... yeah...
Jamie, my colleague told me that this Outlet Mall is a must-visit! Oh boy, i did not buy a single item there, but BenBen bought Nike Running Shoes for his bro for only S$80.
Basically this Outlet Mall houses the outlets of many brands, like Nike, Adidas, Mango, Kate Spate, Polo, A/X, Club 21, etc...
Zonk it, Zonk it!
I tried on this pair of high waisted white shorts from Mango and it only cost S$22. Q cheap hor, but i nv buy la, cuz i thk i have too many pairs of shorts ready.
There's q alot of nice sneakers at Adidas and Nike too! I felt so tempted to buy, but Mason says buy only things you need, not you want...... oh well, that's absolutely bullshit. Sorry. Muahahhahaha!
Entertaining myself while BenBen checks out Adidas.
Nice weather, around 23 degrees and you juz feel like you are in an air-con room outside! I will blog HK Day 2 asap!!!! This time i will try to do one everyday or every other day ok?
No, dun count weekend as a day ah, cuz tmr is Liting's long awaited wedding!!!! We will be needed from early morning to late at night.
13 jie-mei's to guard her door in the morning, and all required to help out during the dinner at Marina Mandarin! I'm am going to EMCEE for her!!! WOohoooOo, exciting!
