2nd Day @ Taiwan!

Taipei, Taiwan @ Day2!

BenBen and i woke up in the morning, purposely missed the hotel breakfast and took a slow and aimless walk around our happening Xi Men Ding neighbourhood to look for a decent local breakfast.

Xi Men Ding was pretty different in the morning, compared to night time. Cars and motorbikes are allowed to travel on the streets and alleys which were sposed to be pedestrian crossing at night.

Shops were not opened till later in the day, say about 11am... And the sun was fiery, the air was piping and it was basically very, very hot in August.

But of cuz I am well decked out, fully from face to my last toe, had spent the last 15mins in Rainbow Hotel spreading SPF sunblock all over my exposed (and not exposed) skin. (Ettusais sunblock's working well for me!)

We decided to walk about until we find a place to have breakfast.

We took more than 45mins to look for a dining spot cuz we were so distracted (ok la, only I was very distracted) and had to whip out my camera to take pictures every 5 steps we walked.

They have colourful streets! BenBen is trying to show that he is hungry~

I am trying to swing around in Xi Men Ding.

BenBen saw two cute post boxes and wanted me to take pictures with them. Quite vintage post boxes hor!
We settled at a breakfast stall for breakfast, after walking for more than 30mins. Hee, its not that far la, just that we kept taking pictures (as you can see) while heading there.
Ordered authentic Taiwan breakfast! Erm, just one word - oily.
After the oily breakfast we decided to keep to our schedule. Snapped a pic of BenBen while he is trying to grab my hands to cross the road. Soooo sexy~

Cam-whoring Queen.

Reached Xi Men Ding train station and asked BenBen to pose there while i secretly tried to snap the pix of the school girls behind him. Haha!

Train rides varies according to the distance. Ranging from TW20 to TW40, which is equivalent to less than S$1 to S$2.
Rides are pretty fast and efficient too. And alot of those reserved seats for old ppl, which no passengers dared to sit...
We alighted from the train and took a bus to Leo Village! The bus ride was so long! Took us almost an hour to reach our theme park!!!!

Here we are at Leo Village, the theme park! Exciting!!!!

I'm trying to act like a tourist... Well, i am a tourist la.

Check out the big entrance behind me! Shaped like a castle.

Castle in Mumbai la...

We wanted to take all the rides!

But we got lost in "The Lost World". So silly... kept walking but only have dinosaurs bones around us...
Still lost at "The Lost World".

BenBen's pissed with his new buddy.

He's my new best friend.

After wasting 20mins getting lost in "The Lost World", we finally saw our first ride!

We queued for another 4omins for this water ride. (Ridiculous rite! But you really need to queue for popular rides for that long.)
Up the slope! I'm squeezing BenBen like never before!
2 times down the water slide left me dripping wet. Sobbbbz~

Haha, and left BenBen's hair standing on its ends.

We figured out that our next ride will help us dry ourselves!

Its the vertical free fall ride! Weeeeeeeeee~ This time queue for 20mins only.

See, my hair really dried up after the vertical free fall...

We had bento in the theme park. Tasted like cardboard. Haha, but edible la.
Headed to the Safari Ride aft lunch! Waiting 30mins for the ride. By that time our lunch had digested. Haha, but the weather was too hot and no one felt like having any food. We just kept buying bottled drinks. Heh, and our favourite is Lemon Green Tea!

Your neighbour.

Your classmates from Math class.

My Baby and his Commes de Garcons shirt... the one that he DID NOT BUY FOR ME... bah~

Some helpful teenager took this pic for us on the train during the Safari Ride!

Our friends from Taiwan. The weather was so hot they muz be sweating like mad inside.

Cute!
We left around 4pm, cuz I was too lazy to queue for all the rides (ok, fine, i was too scared of the other rides) and we din wan to leave there too late cuz the bus ride back to the train station will take us another hour.
We headed to the shopping paradise: Wu Fen Pu!
There's a direct train to Wu Fen Pu and just a short walk from the train station.

We had braised pork noodles at one of the stalls there. Not very cheap I can say. But we ate XXL Ji Pa (deep fried chicken!) and its SUPERBBBBB~

Haha, din take pix from here liao, cuz i shopped till i dropped and both of us din have hands to take pictures anyway... keke, but clothes are cheap (mostly) and trendy! Great shopping paradise at Wu Fen Pu!
We left about 10pm and we were so so so so tired. Took a cab back cuz shopping bags too heavy and we were too tired. Cab back cost about S$10 to Xi Men Ding.
-=: Stay tuned for Day 3 coming up soon! :=-
