My Taiwan, Taipei photos are overdue!!! But nevertheless, I know you all are still waiting to see my pretty photos! *puke puke puke puke*
Hoho, if you all out there are planning a short-get-away, Taipei is the choice!!! Price of air fare has dropped tremendously (the air fare was twice the amount just a year ago!) and accommodation was pretty affordable there. Not to mention food, shopping, entertainment was all value-for-$$!
Everyone there is friendly, pretty, cute, kawaii, trendy, hip-hoppy and warm.
Omg, and i miss the food there. Y_U_M_M_Y!!!!!
BenBen and I braved all the elements, armed with 2 copies of Liting and Liyi's ancient itinerary and took flight there without any planning. (ok la, i bluffed BenBen i will plan but actually i just took LT and LY's itinerary and told him i planned it. Kekekeke)
Travel by Jetstar! Only cost us S$274 (including taxes) each to take us to Tao Nan Airport.
All ready to fly Jetstar!
Our flight's at Changi Airport Terminal 1. Had lunch with Liyi and Liz there. Lizard's so sweet to send us off. And as usual, BenBen and i forgot the boarding time so we ran all the way to the boarding gates. (wads new... i always find myself in situations where we have to chase aft planes tgt... ALWAYS leh!)
During the 4hours ride: ipod to keep us from squabbling and diet coke, our favourite.
We reached Tao Nan Airport feeling super excited!!! If you choose to take a taxi to town area, it will prob cost you S$50 or so. We opted for the Express Bus "FreeGo"! Its only S$13 for a to and back ride from the airport to selected hotels. Right up to the door steps of your hotel too!
Thats darn cheap rite, considering they ferry you back to the airport at the end of your holiday too! Ride from Tao Nan Airport to Xi Men Ding area where our hotel is took us an hour bus ride.
BenBen and I slept so much on the plane and on the bus.
We stayed at Rainbow Hotel throughout the 6 days, 5 night! Hotel was about S$75 per night for a twin room. Quite cheap for a prime area and we're seriously smacked right in the middle of Xi Men Ding!
The first thing after we threw our luggage in the room was to look for the legendary "Ah Zhong Mian Xian"!!!!!!!
Its freakingly heavenly!!! We almost ate it EVERYDAY. You can find its franchise at most popular places in Taipei too. Everyone is eating it.
And we had our first bubble tea in Taipei too! This one just next to the "Ah Zhong Mian Xian".
Just a few hours after we landed in Taipei and we had experienced the best of everything already! Can't wait to explore more for the next 5 days! Stay tuned for Day 2 @ Taipei!
Look how happening is Xi Men Ding! I am missing you so much already!
Highlights from Taipei @2nd Day: Get wet at Liu Fu Chun, Leo Fu Village and being super streetwise at Subways!
