Wedding!!!

31 May 2009 was a special day for the lovely couple, Yong Sheng and Joanne!

They celebrated their love with their close-knitted families and friends at Novotel, Clarke Quay.

And thanks to willyoumarryme, I had the pleasure of hosting the night with Chris! (Regine loves emcee-ing!!!)

"Our love is one, our love is true.
A bond that has grown between me and you."

As I stepped into the reception area of the ballroom at Novotel, I was greeted by a massive display of Hello Kitties!

As it turns out, pretty and young bride, Joanne, is a super fan of Sanrio Hello Kitty, and she generously shared her life-long collection with all her guest that night!

I myself squealed and shrieked in excitement upon seeing all the ever-popular Japan icon. Weeeee!

My first Hello Kitty Themed Wedding I ever attended!!!

Will You Marry Me design architects had the task of displaying and decorating all the Japanese Kitty Cats and I can say they really did a great job!

The giant Kitty at the middle was Joanne's hot favourite!

Will You Marry Me designers cleverly used rose petals and Kitty plush toys to create a subtle and romantic table of memoirs of the couple's wedding photos. Sweeeeet~

Walking into the ballroom, more Hello Kitty plush toys welcomed us from different corners, from the aisles, the VIP tables to the stage in the middle. It was like walking into a very huge Sanrio Shop in Japan!

Joanne's pet cats were all sitted ON the VIP table (literally) , all wanting to share the joyous occasion too!

Will You Marry Me designed the flavours for the evening too. It was a lil' Hello Kitty printed box with yummy chocolates from Paris inside! Cute and delicious!

At 830pm, the dinner began. We first saw the young couple marched in, both faces glowing and all-s0-loving! They stand out nicely from the crowd with their pure white matching suit and gown!

Ain't they sweet! One of my favourite photo of the night! The 2 Hello Kitties matches well with the wedding cake. Haha!

Emcee partner Chris and I, having a great time entertaining the guests!

Dinner commenced and food was great! Yong Sheng's buddies all had a blast that night! They were the most sporting friends ever!

Haha, check out our own wedding planner, Brian from willyoumarryme always on the move to make sure every lil' thing runs smoothly!

For the second part of the evening, we saw Yong Sheng and Joanne changed into a smart suit and an elegant purple evening gown respectively. Gosh, I heart the purple gown!~

Champagne popping!!! And followed by toasting with the couple's friends and families! Yammmmmm Shennnnng!!!

Next up, my emcee partner, Chris and I planned a game for the couple! Haha, Yong Sheng was blind-folded and given the task of recognising his wife's hand just by touching! Chris pulled a trick on him by making him touch all his male buddies' hand first, before finally letting the helpless Yong Sheng touch Joanne's hand.
And yes, of cuz, Yong Sheng guessed his wife's hand right!

After the cheeky game which left everyone tickled, Chris made Yong Sheng propose to Joanne once again, infront of all the guests! I was moved to tears as he fell to his knees and announced and assured his love for her. Awwwww~

I was impressed by the Wedding Planners of Will You Marry Me for making the dinner banquet a success and a blast! Their professionalism was worth mentioning. Everything went on as planned and followed to schedule. Kudos to the designers for designing and decorating for the themed wedding! Also thanks to Joanne for sharing all her Hello Kitty collectibles with all!

Emcee Chris and me, Regine, Wedding Planner and Ambassador, both from Will You Marry Me!

"As you start out today, joined as one together

We wish your hearts soar, fly on Angel's wings

Pleasure fulfilment, endless joy, contentment

As perfect a Marriage, that anyone yet so brings "

Have a blissful and happy marriage to the newly-wed, Yong Sheng and Joanne!
Lotsa love,
From Wedding Planners of Will You Marry Me and me! (Left to right, Chris, Regine, Sandee and Brian)
