Bangkok Trip!

14 Jan - 19 Jan 2009 Bangkok Trip with BenBen, Viv and Eleen!!!!!!!!

Yeah, here comes the pix from our BKK trip!!!! (so efficient rite!)

It was wonderful, very fun, cheap but not too cheap, weather's chilling/cool, food's great, hotel's good, best company, shopping's fulfilling and we had so much fun!!!! Everywhere is calm, there's no terrorists, no fire, no robber, no thieves.... so all's good! Thanks to all my friends who were so concerned for me and repeatedly reminded me to take care of myself! (you know who u r buddies!) Thanks so muchie!!!

Ok, just let the pix do the talking ba!

BenBen and I went there a day earlier cuz the cheap cheap air tix was sold out after Viv and Eleen bought theirs... So BenBen and I decided to go a day earlier as the cheap tix was still available for that day.

Day 1:

Before boarding the Tiger plane at Budget Airlines!

I bought my yellow jacket from Taiwan spree, S$4+ (before postage) only! Muahahaha!

BenBen's into artistic shots recently, after he found out how to fully utilise all the different settings in his camera.

On our way to the Land of Smiles!

After 2hours, both of us reached BKK's airport! No terrorists, no riots around!

Our taxi ride costs about THB350 to our hotel, Baiyoke Boutique. We went to tailor his shirts and pants and walked a lil before he told me to get ready for our dinner date.
BenBen's oh-s0-sweet! Cuz our 6th month anniversary was 2days before, and we did not celebrate it at all. Then BenBen secretly planned a dinner date for both of us that evening! I was totally kept in the dark!
He even planned a coach ride from our hotel to the place we're spose to have our date! I totally have no idea where we were heading until we reached the place!

IT WAS A DINNER DATE ON BOARD A RIVER CRUISE!!!! *sweet sweet sweet*

Thank you so much Baby!!!

Our Loy Nava Dinner Cruise! *excited*

We were welcomed by the Thai dancers who were all dressed traditionally. (looked like some ghost in ghost shows to me tho.)

Our own table for 2!

BenBen's artistic shot again.

The dancers dancing on board for us, but we were all busy eating. Teeheehee...

So touched! Thanks Baby!

We had no idea why they gave us that lil bouquet of flowers... wad is it for ah?

Cam-whore-Queen!

They served us so many dishes! We cant finish all of cuz... But i super love the Tom Yum Soup!

Our dinner spread along the main river of BKK... awwww~

The whole dinner took like 2hours... and the view along the river was breath-taking!

Its not cheap, but its so romantic!

Thank you so much for all my Baby! Next month i oso wan something like that okok? Best is every month pleasssse!

Final shot of the chilling night! I totally enjoyed myself! Superb experience!

Day2:
The next day, Viv and Eleen reached BKK earlier than we expected! We took them to the legendary PORK RICE near our hotel. Very very delicious!
Pork rice with a bowl of wanton soup!

And then we headed for shopppppping!!!!! weeeeee~

Going Platinum Mall! Its very very near our hotel!

Photo-taking on the over-head bridge for 10mins! omg...hahaha!

In the end Baby and I went to Platinum Mall for a total of 3times thro-out the 6days... gosh~

Haha, their way of trying clothes... by hiding inside a sarong! We look like the pregnant Yuzhu in the Little Nonya. kekeke!
Dinner was at Chinatown! For sharks fin and birdie nest!

The sharks' fin fans!

After dinner and a round-about-taxi-ride, we landed in Suan Lum Night Market.

I wan all the pretty frocks!

After shopping, we went to the beer garden for beer!

TMD, they added water to the beer ok! Cheapo~

Great shopping khakis, great beer buddies!

Day 3:
BenBen and I went to have our currency exchanged cuz we ran out of funds le... meant that i spent S$300 already!

We followed him to the tailor shop to collect his tailored clothes... all fitted nicely!

After that the girls and us splitted... BenBen and I went to the guy's paradise at Baiyoke Sky's Basement while Viv and Eleen when to buy their stuffs.
A few hours later, we met in the afternoon at Central for bra shopping!!!!!
We spent S$400 on all the bras!!!! I can sense my mum's going to scream at me again...

Forced BenBen to take pictures for us!
Viv not around as she went to redeem some stickers with all the bras receipt. keke!

The Obasans even made a trip to the supermarket at the basement for some groceries shopping...

As we're going to Irene's house for dinner, we decided to buy her Royce Chocolate to trade for the dinner! ahahhah!

Irene was our primary school classmate. As you all know, Viv, Eleen and I are all from CHIJ-OLGC (ya la, ya la, convent girls la...)! We always hang and stick around tgt during our primary school days one... hee... so we knew each other for the longest times!
Irene's mum a Thai while her dad's Singaporean. She's an ex-Jetstar stewardess too! And she recently got ROM-ed to a lucky man too. Hehe... She's having a long break now tats y she's back at her Mum's place in Thailand. And just nice, since we're all in BKK, we decided to go visit her! Irene's Mum prepared dinner for all of us. And its our first time we went to an authentic Thai home and had home-cooked food by a Thai! Yummmmie!

Just look at glutton Viv with her second (or was it third?) helping. Muahahah!

Primary school buddies! Left to right: Me, Irene, Vivien and Eleen!

We forced the only man to take pic for us again. He did that for all the other days... keke!

Irene's garden is so pretty!

Photo with the chef of the night! Her mum's sooooo motherly!

Day 4:
Irene came and bunk in with the girls at our hotel and the next day we headed for Chatuchak Weekend Market!
Ready for more shopping! Waiting for cab outside our hotel.

I bought bags for Yihui and Alfred! Which i had to lug around in the squeezy market...

BenBen's my image consultant! He always choose the best clothes.

Omg, crowdeddddd~

Spotted shopping!

After all the shopping, we went back to our hotel for a bath and got ready to head to Siam Paragon for MK steamboat!
Outside Siam Paragon!

Seated comfortably inside MK Gold for ala carte steambaot.

Each of us only paid around S$10+ for a very filling (and maybe MSG-filled) dinner! So value-for-$$ esp when service was great!

After dinner we went outside the mall for some group pictures.
The lights were so pretty!

Then we went to Khao San, the back-packers paradise for more sight-seeing and shopping. Sigh, i din manage to braid my hair man...

Finally, highlight for the night was to RCA's Route66 to club!!!!!! R&B, wooooohooo!!!

Fun, fun, fun!!!! We only spent S$14+ each for all the drinks!

Ok, when did i took this photo man...

Irene's so cute, so tipsy!

After that, everything was history... our dear Viv went to the toilet and wanted to join the live band there (yes! they have a live band in the freaking ladies!) and we played superman, batman, wonderwomen game and i forgot what happened le... kekeke!
But next morning dear Viv had a massive hangover and kept threatening to puke. Muahahahahahhaahha!
Day 5:
After having our all-time-favourite Pork Rice, BenBen and I headed to MBK while Viv and Eleen went back to the hotel to sleep her hangover away...
On the tuk-tuk to MBK!

Went to Silom area for some Thai food for dinner after all the walking and shopping.

Yummie delicious! I meant the food and BenBen.

After dinner we also walked to Central World...

Shopped again... but din buy anything there la.

Day 6:

Early in the morning BenBen and I went to buy work pants at Platinum Mall (thanks BB!) before we went to have breakfast at A&W!
I love their rootbeer float!
We took the 245pm flight back to SGP. Wanna thank Eleen, Viv, Irene and of cuz my BenBen for their company thro'out the BKK trip! It was really great to go abroad and hang out with them. Thanks for their tolerance and thanks to Irene's mum for the great dinner too!
