Internship!

Hi all!!!!

Sorry for the lack of post... this week is the start of my internship and boy do i not enjoy it... As i m doing Civil Engineering, of cuz my internship will be at a construction firm rite... so ya, think of "The Simple Life", starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie... Yes, I m the bimbo in the construction site... -_-||

My company posted me to the site at Kallang Whampoa, near Boon Keng MRT. Its pretty near my place, and they are building about 700 residential units for HDB. I've only worked for 2 days and today I went to take MC... hahaahh! But i m really sick ok... i got food poisoning AGAIN~~~ I reckon its the dirty food i ate for lunch and i thk everyone in the office must be thinking how weak Ms Regine is lo... uurgh~

But its pretty boring when u r facing and looking at tons and tons of grey concrete, piles and piles of steel rods and plenty of foreign workers (read: super tanned china men and bangalahs)... gosh~~~ and when I m not in the site, braving exposed nails and rods or under the strong sun, I m stuck in the office, forced to study thousand pages of architect drawings and keying in excel sheets... OMG~

And ytd while i was at the site with all the Engineers and Architects viewing the Trade Demo, i ALMOST fainted ok... i thk cuz i m sick and the room is small and crowded and dusty... bah~

But ytd one of the Site Engineer brought me to the top of the building, (actually we are only at the 5th story la... haha, upon completion, the block will have 28 stories) and from that view, its pretty breathe-taking! The Kallang River's just opposite and its so so so windy! But of cuz, everywhere is so dangerous... there's no wall and the floor's got hole and the stairs are made of temporary thin steel plates and there are random cables hanging from the top, etc...

And Lizard, I wore a white helmet ok... not yellow... lol! White's for the Engineers and Supervisors, yellow's for the workers, red's for the tower crane ppl and blue's for the Safety Supervisors... Ya, and i never wear PCK's yellow boots la... they provided those shoes that we wear in the Lab in school one... black colour one... hee...

Okok, my stomach is churning again... i gotta go eat my medicine le! And i lost weight due to the food poisoning... feel so weak now... sigh...
